About
Sustainable Empowerment Approach for Rural Society (SEAfoRS) is a non-political Local Non-Governmental Organisation that supports vulnerable farmers in the Western Area Rural district of Sierra Leone. We support our farmers with farm tools, fertilizers, seeds, and basic agricultural skills
Founded in 2020 we believe that home-produced fresh nutritious food is a right for all in Sierra Leone. SEAfoRS has come together to work with our farmers to help them increase national production and improve their own lives and livelihoods.

Our Mission
Sierra Leone has one of the lowest national incomes in one of the poorest regions on earth. Ranked 181st out of 189 countries listed on the 2019 UN Human Development Index (HDI) table, we need to work together to create a future for us all in the 21st century. Feeding Sierra Leone's population is key to our future development and SEAfoRS' mission is to work with rural farmers and growers to build up skills essential to provide our nation with plentiful wholesome nourishment.

I am Mohamed Kenneh (Ken), co-founder of SEAforS.
Studies for my Bachelor of Science (Social Science) degree in Development and Economics have given me the tools and developed my passion to address the needs of development in my home country, one of the lowest-placed on the UN Human Development Index rankings.
While studying I gained personal experience of local and international development through working with Save the Children UK.
I have helped create SEAfoRS with six equally passionate colleagues and we are exploring practical routes for agricultural development.
We have been contributing financially and voluntarily to support our local farmers in the villages with fertilizers, local farm tools and seeds. This gives us the confidence to take the projects on from subsistence farming to develop a more systematic approach to agricultural production.
We are calling on donor partners, sponsors and other persons who can help us in any way. Even a small support in money or in kind will help us to build Sierra Leone's future!
